Who we are
Apex Chauffeurs Ltd, Floor 2, 1 Coppice Way, Birmingham B37 5TX, is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything about privacy, contact us at contact@apexchauffeurs.com or on 0333 533 3530.
What we collect and why
- Booking details: your name, phone number, email, pick-up and destination addresses, dates, times, passenger numbers, flight numbers and any notes for the chauffeur. We need these to perform the contract with you. In particular, we use them to carry out the journey and to contact you about it.
- Payment details: our payment provider processes your payment. We never store full card numbers on our systems.
- Enquiries: if you use the contact form, email or phone us, we keep the details you give us so we can reply. We may also record calls for training and monitoring purposes.
- Website usage: standard server logs and, where enabled, analytics that show us which pages people visit. Before we use analytics cookies, however, we ask for your consent.
Lawful basis
We process booking and payment data to perform our contract with you, and also to meet legal and accounting obligations. We process enquiry and website data because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the service. Where the law requires it, we rely on your consent instead.
Who we share it with
Your chauffeur receives the details needed to carry out your journey. Our payment provider handles payments, and IT and email providers help us run the business. We never sell personal data. Furthermore, we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for six years to meet accounting and legal requirements. Enquiry emails and form submissions stay on file for up to two years. Call recordings, meanwhile, are deleted after twelve months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. In addition, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work, such as remembering that you have seen the opening animation during your visit. We set any analytics or marketing cookies only with your consent.
Security
We store personal data on secured systems, and we limit access to the people who need it to run your booking. Payment pages use encryption.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Therefore, the date at the top shows when we last reviewed it.
